Sometimes I stumble over things that just make me giggle out loud, and I just couldn’t help to do so, when I saw these crazy hand made typographies from the Croatian designer Vladimir Koncar. So fare he has made Diary Type 01, 02 and 03 that consist of fonts made by unusual materials like tea bags, paper clips, cactus, condoms, rotten apples, toothpicks, gummy bears and raw meet. Be sure to stop by his page at Behance to see all of them, or see my favourites after the jump!

Last night I went to see a presentation by the successful Dutch design agency De Designpoilite. I knew little bit about them before, but I was amazed by the fact that they produce a small drawing, a gorilla, every day – six days a week for a Dutch news paper. They get to know the headliners for the next days and in less than three hours they have to come up with an idea, sketch it, draw it and send it to press. At the dailygorilla.nl you can see the entire gallery of more than 700 gorillas, and after the jump you can see some of my favourite gorillas from their more recent work. (more…)
Not to long ago I wrote about the beautiful perfume bottle agonist made by Sentral Designstudio and Åsa Jungnelius . Since then they have made two more additions to the Agonsit series, and they continue to amaze me with new and different designs on the bottle. With every detail exclusively developed with regard for nature and raw material, AGONIST constitutes an experience larger than a fragrance.
So here’s a little updated on yesterdays event… together with a couple of other designers I was invited to pimp jeans for Monki. Sitting around a big table, all filed with accessorise, clothes to cut from, glitter and glam, can hardly be described as a day of work… but much more as a day of girly fun. The day ended with a party with champagne, candy and music from the 90s. Lots of pictures after the jump!

Its getting closer to valentine and mass-produced hearts and teddy bears are filling up the stores. To me the romance of valentines day seems to get a bit lost in all these commercial products, so its nice to see something as beautiful, exclusive and handcrafted as this amazing Ventricle Vase by Eva Milinkovic of Tsunami Glassworks. The shapes, colours and material just makes this heart stand out, and almost like mine, this heart is made of glass and needs to bee well cared for…
