I am currently working on a rally cool styling project that I just can’t wait to show you. But since I am not allowed to reveal any details yet, you simply just have to keep following Playmedesign to see it when its done!
In the mean time; here’s a little treat from the amazing illustrations by Dmitriy Rebus Larin. I especially love his watercolour drawings which are just simply stunning! See more after the jump!

Ok, I must admit I know little or nothing about playing cards, and if you asked me to play poker I would probably loos all my money or all of my cloths in a heartbeat. BUT I do know good design, and this deck of playcards, designed by Hatch Design for Sentinels, is just stunning! The design is very detailed, and every single design element has a meaning behind it. The deck represents magic, the industry of deception, and the allied arts. The box is printed on imported paper 40% thicker than normal tuck cases – and has metallic accents on six sides. Check out the video and be sure to see the rest of the images after the jump!
I’ve always been fascinated by rough textures, especially cement… That is why I love these stationary’s made by Stitch Design. To create the perfect identity for Heather Wilson of Haven Architecture they have used different shades of white and gray mat board as the stock, letterpressed her contact information and then developed a series of rubber stamps to customize each card with. The result is a beautiful business card with a surface witch really looks like a cement texture translated into a graphical print! (more…)
Some of you might remember that I flew to London in May to participate in a roundtable discussion for Sony Europe. Here are, finally, the videos from our discussion about how technology in the home has changed over the past 50 years; The function of the TV, both in the past as well as in the future; The function of the living room and how the use of that space has changed over time; What the ideal living room looks like; What the future TV will look like.
See more videos from the round table discussion after the jump, or check out Sonys profile on Youtube.

Foscarini is yet again introducing a new lamp and this time it’s the table lamp, called Tua. The design is minimal and elegant, and by simply bending the shaped metal, it becomes both the support and the screen for the lamp. Although I must admit I like the more colourful, and ruff style from Foscarini –this certainly is a timeless and classical product that would look good on any kind of night table! Tua is designed by Marco Zito.
