Ok, I must admit I have done a complete sell-out… Many bloggers receive make-up/fashion items as ”payment” (or bribe) for a blogg-post. But when you write about furniture’s and product design like I do, it’s very rare that you get anything. Maybe its because a sofa might be slightly harder to send in the mail or simply because the a lipstick cost a little less than a designer chair or lamp. So when LuShae Jewellery sent me a gift card to pick out whatever I wanted in their online store, I happily picked these simple and elegant silver earrings. I like the simplicity in the design, and I have already used them a lot! So even though it feels a bit like a sell out to write a post about this, the earrings was totally worth it!

As you might have noticed Playmedeisgn has got a new logo and a symbol!! After having the same old logo for over two years, it was time to make a change, and I am glad to present to you this new, playful and edgy logo made by my good friend Lotte Grønneberg.
This logo also marks a beginning of a new tradition here at Playmedesign: Free give-aways!! I have for the past weeks talked to different designer and managed to get he hold of some amazing stuff, that I just can wait to give to you the opportunity to win!
We are kicking it off with a give away from my own jewellery collection today, but make sure to bookmark this page so you don’t miss all the good stuff coming up in the next few months!

Here’s a little update on the past week- Thursday I was invited to talk on Pecha Kucha here in Oslo, and it turned out to be a greet night. I was quit nervous about presenting my self and my work in front of so many people, but it went better than expected and I must admit that I actually like standing on a stage!
For those who haven’t heard about this before: Pecha Kucha, means “chitchat” in English, and its an event for young creative’s to show their work to the public. Each presenter is allowed 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds – giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next presenter is up. Pecha Kucha nights are held all over the world.
See picture from the event after the jump and visit Pecha-kucha.org to find next event near you!
So here’s a little updated on yesterdays event… together with a couple of other designers I was invited to pimp jeans for Monki. Sitting around a big table, all filed with accessorise, clothes to cut from, glitter and glam, can hardly be described as a day of work… but much more as a day of girly fun. The day ended with a party with champagne, candy and music from the 90s. Lots of pictures after the jump!

Saturday the 13th of February I will be participating in an event for Monki here in Oslo. Together with six other creative souls I will be pimping up jeans in new and innovative ways. The workshop will be celebrated with a party in the evening with sparkling drinks, colorful candy and music from the 90´s! If you happen to be in Oslo that day you are more than welcome to join, just sign up via this invitation-link!
