Porcelain by Anja Niemi

hvit hest bakfraI am fortunate enough to have a lot of really talented friends and this time I want to introduce you to Anja Niemi. She is a Norwegian photographer, and last year she exhibited the series: ”porcelain” both in Norway and London. I do have a soft spot for animal, so its not a surprise that I adore the horse motifs, but I also love how she has worked with the black on black/ white on white effect. To see more photos check out Anjas Blog or webpage.

Birds by Andrew Zuckerman

Bilde 2People who know me well, know that I am a big animal lover, and I’ve had everything from birds, turtles, gold fish, cats and dogs growing up. So not surprisingly I am a huge fan of the portfolio of photographer Andrew Zuckerman. Among his many amazing series is one that has completely taken my breath away; the photo series and book, called Birds. I don’t think I have ever seen anyone capture the beauty of birds in this way, it t feels like I can read the emotions and personality of each individual bird, just like a really good portrait. Check out my favourite birds by pressing + and be sure to visit the birdbook site!

Gullsnitt

Bilde 17Utsnitt was the name of the yearly Norwegian photo-contest, unfortunately with a bad reputation of not having high enough standards and few known contestants. Utsnitt (witch mean something like a close-up or a piece of a bigger picture) has therefore transformed into a Gullsnitt (the golden ratio) with the help from Anti design agency. This year the contest for advertising agencies and photographers are aiming high to see the cream of the crop among commercial-photography!

Bokstäver

Bilde 14 Rasmus Norlander is an architecture and engineering art photographer from Stockholm and his pictures has some sort of cleanness and quietness about it with I really like. My favorite among his work is this small series with 3 photos of people wearing letters. Take a look at them here and be sure to check out the rest of his work at rasmusnorlander.se (more…)
