Another great piece form the Fall/winter 2010 collection from Artecnica is Themis Mobile. I’ve always been a fan of the old mobiles from Mirò, and somehow I think this one, designed by Clara von Zweigbergk, gives me the same feeling. Its something with the colours and the geometrical shapes that just makes it so simple and elegant. Themis Mobile will be available from the end of September, and I definitely have it on my wish list! (more…)
I’ve been spending the last couple of days renovating my room at our summerhouse, with no Internet connection – so sorry for the lack of posting. The old child room really is transforming into a beautiful and mature bedroom, and I promise to show it to you when it is all done. In the mean time I thought I could show you some other really inspirational interiors. The Swedish photographer Pia Ulin takes really good interior photos, and her pictures really inspire me with its simplicity and strong colours. Take a look after the jump!

This might not be an extraordinary project in it self, but the idea behind it is kind of new and cleaver… There are many things and products in our life’s that we for some reason just have decided should be either flat or have a shape. It’s like that with bed linen, for some reason they are always flat and designer Malin Åkerblom wanted to do something about that. AUNE is a bedding collection created with great care on the three dimensional form, made out from a method that is otherwise used in the fashion industry, where shape and volume is critical. I love the idea of creating an extra level of volume to a flat object (just imagine how you can play with colors in these shapes!) and I hope to see more artistic and bold shapes in the future! Ah!! I love the portfolio of Ditte Hammerstrøm so much that I am actually having a really difficult time choosing what to show you! First of I defiantly have to show you this amazing project she has done together with Sonesson Indretning and Maria Keinicke Davidsen / Centre for Sports and Architecture. It is called “My Own Public Room” and as the name suggests this is furniture’s made for the changing room. I love, love, love the clean, minimal and raw style and I definitely think a lot of public changing rooms would be given a real makeover if they just had this furniture’s! More pics after the jump!

Right now I am working on an interior styling where we have been lucky enough to get to use some of the newest products from Duravit. I am especially excited about this kitchen sink made by Philippe Starck. I love how it has both a deep and a shallow part, and that you can plate a cutting board over it to create extra workspace. It looks good, it is cleaver and smart – and it would really have been great in my tiny apartment.
