Some of you might remember that I flew to London in May to participate in a roundtable discussion for Sony Europe. Here are, finally, the videos from our discussion about how technology in the home has changed over the past 50 years; The function of the TV, both in the past as well as in the future; The function of the living room and how the use of that space has changed over time; What the ideal living room looks like; What the future TV will look like.

Just the other day I was attending a traditional Easter-dinner with family and friends, and as always at a party someone spilled their red wine on the white tablecloth. It is almost impossible to avoid, yet somehow it still makes however was the unfortunate one to feel quite bad. I love how they both used the foam-like material as something that takes over the original object and ”grows” on it.

Anneloes van Gaalen has just finished the book in which she tackle all the ridiculous fashion and design rules (from Less is More to Form Follows Function). It’s quite a fun little book with 51 of these rules, their history, quotes by designers and images that support, negate or illustrate the rule. Here are some spreds from the book, I recommend you to click on the picture to see it in large and read the witty text. (more…)
