As you might have noticed Playmedeisgn has got a new logo and a symbol!! After having the same old logo for over two years, it was time to make a change, and I am glad to present to you this new, playful and edgy logo made by my good friend Lotte Grønneberg.
This logo also marks a beginning of a new tradition here at Playmedesign: Free give-aways!! I have for the past weeks talked to different designer and managed to get he hold of some amazing stuff, that I just can wait to give to you the opportunity to win!
We are kicking it off with a give away from my own jewellery collection today, but make sure to bookmark this page so you don’t miss all the good stuff coming up in the next few months!
This might be the longest picture I have posted on the front page of Playmedesign, but I think its fun, playful and a bit strange! Its made by the Swedish Måns Wikström . On his page he says: “This was made one night when the expression
“It’s raining cats and dogs” just didn’t cut it,
it rained more then that, it rained…
uhm.. …zebras!”
Not to long ago I wrote about the beautiful perfume bottle agonist made by Sentral Designstudio and Åsa Jungnelius . Since then they have made two more additions to the Agonsit series, and they continue to amaze me with new and different designs on the bottle. With every detail exclusively developed with regard for nature and raw material, AGONIST constitutes an experience larger than a fragrance.
Isn’t this cute? This brilliant packaging design from Soon Mo Kang clearly shows how you can use humour in creating functional packaging. Not only is it a funny thing to have a t-shirt placed inside your cup, but its comes in a small box of t-shirts hanging on a pole, just like in my closet. Each tea has its one colour code on the hanger, and I wonder it the tea bag will take colour after what type of tea it contains…

It seems like everything Fabien Barral touch turns into gold, he is that good! This time he has illustrated the label of Backyard vineyards in Vancouver. The design is elegant and fascinating a first glance, but the wow factor really kicks in when you take a closer look at all the details in the typography and illustration. See more pictures after the jump and be sure to check out Fabien Barrals beautiful blog: graphic-exchange.
