Packaging for Stangeland Mølle

frokostbl_500x550Some things are quite difficult to explain to other than Norwegians, but I will give it a try: Stangeland Mølle is a producer of different types of flavors and 1-2-3 packs so that you easy can make food like Komle (a strange Norwegian dish of potato-balls), and Havrekjeks (oat biscuits) but also more traditional stuff like scones and muffins. A good friend of mine, Camilla Rosenlund, has together with Proconta agency done their new profile and packaging’s and I love the simple, clean and colorful look! alle_produktene

Airborn by Si Scott

airbourne_bee1

“When you look closely at bees, wasps, and flies, they are quite complex and ugly. When you study a bird, it seems at home in the air, but with these creatures it almost feels as if they shouldn’t fly. I wanted to find and emphasize their beauty, while also keeping their natural dark edge.” -Si Scott

Si Scott is back with some amazing drawings and this time its wasps, flies and bees in flight in the series he has called Airborne. As usual his illustrations are filled with details and such a craftsmanship that you can help but to be fascinated by it. Airborn is planed to be exhibited in 2010.

Basic

Skjermbilde 2010-01-27 kl. 13.44.45It’s the first month of a new year and that means that its time again for Wallpaper* magazine to decided witch projects from the pasted year that deserve some glory. It’s a pleasure to see that the collaboration between the two Norwegian design agency’s Frost Produkt and StokkeAustad, won for the Best cook’s kit in Wallpaper* design awards 2010. The Glass series consisting of a water carafe, a wine decanter and red wine glasses, as well as kitchen utensils, cutting board, a trivet, and candleholders . The project was an attempt to create timeless durable tools for preparing, serving and enjoying food, and it really seems like they have succeeded in doing just that. Congratulations!Skjermbilde 2010-01-27 kl. 14.03.10

News from Mouse

Skjermbilde 2010-01-22 kl. 22.34.58Almost a year ago (wow time really does fly) I came across Mouse graphic agency from Greece, and I totally fell in love with their design, especially the design on the cement bags. Here are some of their latest packaging works, and they still impress me. Somehow they manage to balance their style between being modern with simple lines and bold letters, and a more romantic and rustic style.

Porcelain by Anja Niemi

hvit hest bakfraI am fortunate enough to have a lot of really talented friends and this time I want to introduce you to Anja Niemi. She is a Norwegian photographer, and last year she exhibited the series: ”porcelain” both in Norway and London. I do have a soft spot for animal, so its not a surprise that I adore the horse motifs, but I also love how she has worked with the black on black/ white on white effect. To see more photos check out Anjas Blog or webpage.
