Vladimir Rachev has some really great ideas and concepts in his portfolio. Many of them are only made as models or prototypes but I really like his fun and twisted approach to product design. Table socks!

Right now it is so hot in Norway that I kind of want to wear as little as possible and walk around barefoot all the time. Chris and Ruby on the other hand think its a good idea to put socks on, not only on ourselves but on our tables as well. They’ve made these personality socks for table feet’s, simply to spice up you furniture! (more…)

Julien De Repentigny

Last time i wrote about Julien De Repentigny is said “he scares me, he is that good”. Today I got an email from Julien, asking me to check out his latest work, and I have to say; Julien you still scare me!! His work is playful, sassy and funky at the same time as you can see the amazing amount of work behind it. Mark Mawson part #2

There is almost no end to what you can do with colours and these beautiful photography’s from Mark Mawson are good examples of just that. He has made a series of pictures in the exact moment colourdrops are being poured into water and blends out into beautiful shapes. If you’ve followed this blog a while you might have noticed my hang-up on jellyfishes, and I cant help but to see the resemblance in these color-shapes. Love it! (more…)

Mark Mawson part #1

I started to write a post about the Australian photographer Mark Mawson, but realized I actually had to split the post in two. He has 2 different teams in his photos that just are outstanding, so here it goes:
I have written about works from artists like bill viola and Gregory Crewdson, and just like them Mark Mawson uses the perfect twilight in his photos combined with what to me seems like an expression of emptiness and melancholy. I am completely fascinated by this light and “silence” and have to place Mawson on my list of favorite photographers. (more…)
