Blood is the new black

Not only do I like a lot of the t-shirts design on Blood is the new black, but I must say I really appreciate the idea behind it: Blood is the new black have two main goals; to showcase emerging artists in order to aid their careers in the arts and to introduce you to artists you may not have had the opportunity to know about otherwise.

Designers Journey

As you might have noticed on this page, I have a soft spot for good packaging design, and one of the few design agency in Oslo that specialises in just that is the Norwegian/Italian collaboration Designers Journey. Over you can see their new and really nice design for the traditional Christmas drink Gløgg (glue wine) made for Arcus.

Illustration and design for Ballantine´s.

Naming, illustration and design for Santé, naturally rich in antioxidants. Nominated at Visuelt 08, norways largest competition for graphic designers and agencies.

Naming, wordcrafting and design for Falling Feather. Wine with a functional advantage: low on histamine and tannins (less risk of getting a headache).

Illustration and redesign for Claremont Shiraz. The label says: the koala only eat Eucalyptus leaves and can sleep up to twenty hours every day.

illustration and redesign for Claremont Traminer/Riesling

Designers Christmas Marked

Yet another great thing about December is the annual Designers Christmas Marked in Oslo. This year it’s the 10.th anniversary of the successful marked where national and international designers show off and sells their unique designs, handmade and not mass produce. With others word; the perfect occasion to find a unique and personal present for someone you like!

Porcelain crushed cans by lei xue..

A couple of years ago Seletti came out in with their collection of table wear, made exactly like disposable cups, bottles, milk carton, straws, spoons ect, only with glass and porcelain as materials. I fell in love with the crunched porcelain cups and the thin and fragile glasses, and was the first in line to buy it. Now Xue Lei follows up with cans made out of porcelain, they are already smashed and decorated with traditional Chinese motif.
